Are you planning to take the ACT with writing? Would you like help writing a high-scoring essay? Then, this class was created for you. We'll take an in-depth look at the new, redesigned ACT essay. We'll start by breaking down what the prompt is asking you to do. Next, we'll examine each of the three given perspectives, focusing on strengths and weaknesses. Through brainstorming and outlining, we'll prepare a solid structure. Then you'll have a time limit to write your essay, arguing your own perspective and discussing how it relates to those given. After a short break, we'll read scored example essays and discuss what's working and what's not. This process will help you determine how your own essay compares and what steps you can take to improve. By the end of this three-hour session, you will be prepared to tackle the ACT essay and score well!
