At its core, revision is the work of transformation—of seeing text, and therefore the world, with new eyes. Done well, revision returns writers to their original love for writing and the subject.

In this day-long class, we will dismantle destructive assumptions about revision, learn a life-giving, sustainable, artful approach, and begin re-seeing our work-in-progress through the eyes of the heart. Using reflections, exercises, quotations, examples from masters and amateurs, and easily adapted practices, Living Revision will guide writers of all levels to overturn limiting stereotypes about revision, expand their creative resources, strengthen their craft, and deepen their content.

Come prepared with a paper copy of a draft of creative prose and a bag lunch.
