Heather Zenzen was raised under power lines alongside railroad tracks in small-town Minnesota. While electricity buzzed above, little Heather wrote terrible stories with embarrassing plot lines. Today, the railroad tracks are gone, but she's still writing stories, and now maybe they're a little less embarrassing? Her work was awarded SCBWI's Sue Alexander Most Promising New Work Award in 2016, and she received a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative grant in 2017. Heather currently day-jobs at a youth circus, where she simultaneously manages communications and a band of fifty flexible teenagers in the work-study program. Her work is represented by Sara Crowe at Pippin Properties.
