Wendy Brown-Baez

Wendy Brown-Báez is a writer, teacher, performance poet and installation artist. Her essay "Why We Write: The Wounded and Enduring" appeared in Poets & Writers Magazine July/August 2014 and her non-fiction piece "Pilgrimage" won WNBA’s 2016 national contest. She is the author of the poetry books Ceremonies of the Spirit and transparencies of light and her poetry and prose appear in numerous literary journals and anthologies, including The Litchfield Review, Minnetonka Review, Mizn, and The Heart of All That Is. Wendy was awarded McKnight and MN State Arts Board grants to teach writing workshops for youth in crisis and in non-profits. She continues to teach a writing workshop at Pathways and she is a Saint Paul Almanac community editor. Wendy taught a Restorative Justice class at Stillwater DOC as a member of the Mn Prison Writing Workshop. www.wendybrownbaez.com
