Cristina Pippa is a playwright, screenwriter, and novelist. She holds a BA from Columbia University, and an MFA from the University of Iowa Playwrights Workshop, where she received the Iowa Fellowship for the Arts, and the Norman Felton Fellowship.
She won the WSU National Playwriting Award, and was a finalist for the Leah Ryan Prize for Emerging Women Writers. She has a published play, Cell Cycle, and her screenplays have been optioned and won third place in the Film Writer Screenplay Contest, top 10 for Drama in the StoryPros Competition, and top 10 percent at the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
Cristina teaches in the Screenwriting BA program at Metropolitan State, and for the Loft Manuscript Critique and Coaching service. Her short film Under One Roof was produced by Hello Sunshine Films.
