Elizabeth Tannen is a former producer for National Public Radio’s All Things Considered who has published essays, stories and poems in places like the Huffington Post, Salon, Front Porch, The Rumpus, The Morning News, and Psychology Today. Elizabeth has received support for her writing from the New York Mills Cultural Center in Minnesota, the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in New Mexico, and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center in Nebraska. She’s a graduate of Macalester College and received her MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of New Mexico (UNM). She has taught Creative Writing at UNM, the Creative Center in New York, and with the Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop. She is in the final stages of a memoir manuscript, the early stages of a novel, and the besotted stage of writing poetry.
