Linda Back McKay
Linda Back McKay is a poet, author, and longtime teaching artist with the Loft. She especially loves helping new or returning writers blossom. Her work has appeared in literary publications such as Great River Review, Water~Stone Review, White Pelican Review, and 33 Minnesota Poets. Her nonfiction books, Shadow Mothers and Out of the Shadows, are inspiration for the play “Watermelon Hill” at the History Theatre in St. Paul (in 2001 and again from March 19-April 10, 2016). The Next Best Thing is her latest poetry collection. Linda’s poem, “Carousel,” won the honor of being made into a Motionpoem film and projected across the façade of the St. Paul Union Depot in October, 2014. lindabackmckay.com.
