Kelly Sundberg

Kelly Sundberg's memoir, Goodbye, Sweet Girl, was published by HarperCollins in 2018. Her essays have appeared in a variety of venues, including Guernica, Gulf Coast, Denver Quarterly, The Rumpus, The New York Times, and others. Her essay "It Will Look Like A Sunset" was anthologized in Best American Essays 2015, and other essays have been listed as notables in the same series. She has been the recipient of fellowships and grants from the Ohio Arts Council, Vermont Studio Center, Dickinson House, and the National Endowment for the Arts. She lives in Columbus, Ohio and is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Ashland University. Her essay collection The Answer is in the Wound is slated for publication by Roxane Gay Books in 2025.
