The Loft's events are deep and varied. Readings bring together writers, performance artists, and readers in celebration of literature. Emerging writers are mentored by highly acclaimed writers or work together in writing groups to hone their craft. Fellowship and grant programs administered by the Loft buy writers the time to write, offer creativity-nurturing support, and provide resources that advance new work. Community collaborations bring writing and literature to hungry new audiences in fresh and exciting ways. Through programs and events such as Equilibrium, the McKnight Artist Fellowships for Writers, Talking Volumes, Loft Mentor Series in Poetry and Creative Prose, Inroads, and publication readings, writers and readers at all levels of development participate in activities that challenge and inspire..
