She currently teaches writing to 6th and 7th graders and is working on a collection of stories that take place along California’s Pacific Highway.

Anika Fajardo (nonfiction) is a writer and librarian living in Minneapolis. Born in Colombia to an American mother and Colombian father, she grew up in Minnesota reading voraciously. Her work has appeared in a variety of publications including The Talking Stick, apt: an online literary journal, Savvy Women’s Magazine, Library Journal, and Writing and Publishing: A Librarian’s Handbook. She reviews women’s fiction for Library Journal and has presented at academic conferences. She is a 2009 winner of the Loft’s Latino Inroads mentorship program.
