inkTank Teen Council

The inkTank program is designed to encourage and empower high school students to use literary tools to express themselves. inkTank exists as a self-sufficient working group of teens who are supported and guided in workshops by Loft Staff, writers and community artists.

Acting as a literary teen council, inkTank participants are charged with providing support for one another’s artistic processes as well as creating literary programming that engages the Twin Cities youth community. The inkTank members meet twice a month to plan programming, share writing and attend local literary events. Each inkTank member receives a small stipend and is paired with a mentor from the University of MN MFA program. inkTankers should be in grades 10 – 12 and are asked to complete an application process.
