Fall 2011 and Winter/Spring 2012 classes are now available! You'll find over 130 classes for adults, teens, and children at Open Book, at partner sites in Saint Paul and the suburbs, and online. To browse through the classes, click on the button above that interests you (Adult Classes, Youth Classes, Online Classes etc.).

Throughout the year, the Loft offers hundreds of classes in standard genres like poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as offerings in creative process, children’s literature, young adult literature, playwriting, screenwriting, the business side of writing (finding agents seeking publication), graphic storytelling, blogging and travel writing.

Whether you write novels or sestinas, memoir or 'zines, movies or blogs you’ll find it at the Loft.

And you’ll learn from working writers, agents and editors.

Loft teaching artists include multiple award winners who have been published by dozens of houses. Most importantly, Loft teaching artists are committed to working with all writers: from new writers building their confidence to experienced writers honing their craft.
