The volunteer tradition at the Loft dates back to its earliest days. Indeed, the Loft was founded by volunteers and, for many years, largely staffed by volunteers. The generosity, energy, and creativity of Loft volunteers is legendary. Working at Loft events, strategizing and promoting Loft programs, raising funds, providing office support, doing construction and remodeling, staffing the Loft's famous used book sales... volunteers have always been at the very heart of what the Loft does and is. Volunteer OpportunitiesVolunteering is a great way to get involved and become a part of the Loft. Volunteers work closely with Loft staff, author/personalities, and the literary community at Loft events, in the Loft's Resource Library and elsewhere. Volunteering at the Loft involves a short application process and interview. Currently we are at capacity for vounteers but new volunteer applications will be accepted in late August.
